MKC Sharpener I Summary

As a Sharpener I with Montana Knife Company, you will be a part of our manufacturing team. In this role you will be responsible for all stages of the MKC Sharpening process. Our knives have an earned reputation of being the sharpest production knife in the industry. This is a result of the outstanding work from our skilled sharpeners. As a new member of our team, MKC will train you in all facets of the sharpening process as well as provide you with all essential safety and personal protective equipment (PPE). You will also be asked to perform additional assembly related duties as well, and should be prepared to work in other areas of the business as needed.
Sharpener I Duties and Responsibilities
In this role, you will be required to perform repetitive tasks each day with efficiency, accuracy, and the utmost attention to detail. As a premium knife manufacturer, we pride ourselves in providing the highest quality work in our industry. It’s important our employees take pride in each knife they touch.
You'll also need to be able to:
- Lift up to 49 pounds
Push utility carts up to 60 pounds
Stand, walk, push, pull, squat, bend, and reach during shifts
Use carts, dollies, hand trucks, and other gear to move items around
Go up and down stairs (where applicable)
Adhere to strict safety, quality, and production standards
Compensation and Benefits:
