      A good, portable knife sharpener for camping trips

      I usually sharpen my knives at home and keep them sharp. I seldom need to sharpen my knives during a camping trip, but on the occasions I do, I find this to be an excellent tool and more effective than sharpening on a river stone (including finding a good river stone to use).

      A great addition to great knives

      I dulled my Jackstone while feild dressing my Spike bull this archery season, a couple swipes on the MKC Feild knife sharpener and it was good as new.

      MKC Field Sharpener- Light, Strong and Versatile

      I have other Work Sharp sharpeners, but the MKC is the one I will be packing in the field from now on. The open I-beam layout makes this rigid for the support of the 600 grit diamond plate and the 1200 grit ceramic. The end ramps are set at 20 degrees to assist in setting the proper angle for best edge. I also like the longer abrasive versus the Work Sharp Field. With some practice you will be able to remove the sharpening burr with some backstroke on the ceramic or a good piece of leather in your kit.

      The multi-angle broadhead tool built in is a bonus.

      It's a compliment to the MKC Waxed Knife Roll and there to keep the edge sharp before, during and after your next harvest. Keep the band-aids handy.

      MKC Field Sharpener

      Simple, effective, well made. If the MKC logo is on a product you know it’s a quality tool designed for a purpose. The angle guide is huge for novice sharpeners like myself it just flat out works. If this one ever wears out I’ll have another one on the way to my door

      Keepin Sharp

      Got this with a MKC Flat Tail. I have used it a few times. Easy to use, easy to clean. I keep it in my pack, being a guide and keeping a knife sharp is extremely important. Great sharpener!
