EXCLUSIVE MKC OPEN CARRY SHEATH 2.0

Each Speedgoat Ultra comes with a custom molded MKC Kydex sheath, now made in-house at our shop in Montana.

The sheath features a built-in retention screw to customize blade tension and allow for handle-down carrying. The Speedgoat Ultra sheath comes with a Kydex clip that allows you to carry your knife on a pack or belt, either horizontally or vertically.

    Perfect.

    I’d been carrying the speedgoat mini appendix carry and figured I could get away with the original size without sacrificing any comfort. This will be a forever knife for sure. This knife is both beautiful and functional and so far the point on every knife I’ve bought from MKC has arrived sticky sharp.

    The sheath is also very well designed, which is hard to find these days even on expensive knives. (Looking at you Oregon). The only improvement I made on mine was for my specific carry style. After having cut one of my favorite pairs of pants I decided to make a leather wrap that extends beyond the pant line and to be against the skin (no one likes that sweaty kydex feel).

    Buttery smooth

    Down here in Texas we do a lot of hog hunting and always struggle to get a knife to last through a whole pig without feeling like it’s losing an edge. My two sons and I put the super light speedgoat through the wringer with absolutely no issues. I’ll be ordering more knives more suited for skinning and quartering from MKC.

    My new EDC fitting of a Montana Mountain Man

    Maybe I’ve always been a little jealous of my daughter’s classic speed goat. Maybe it’s been a few months of carrying a mini stoned goat but not loving the p-cord, but when I saw this come up I snagged it. Paired with the upgraded clip it’s perfection. Big enough to do work on lunch, ducks, or road kill du jour. it’s sleek, light, and a damn fine blade.
