Angled Heel

The unusual way the heel angles back down towards your fingers is a key design element that makes this knife unique.

This purposeful design takes what usually counts as wasted space on a blade and puts it to work as a guard for your fingers, and even making the blade feel shorter than it is.

    Bighorn is balanced

    Using the knife was effortless. It is very balanced and comfortable to hold. The size of it makes cutting up a ribeye roast easy.

    An Excellent Chef Knife and Investment

    First, I am not a chef, although I own several chef knives and am familiar with their varying qualities. The Bighorn Chef is slightly thicker than my Japanese Chef knives, yet only slightly. It came very sharp and easily was brought up to an 8000 grit within less than 20 minutes.

    The handle has an excellent fit in my medium--to--large hand. The shape of the blade, albeit subtle, functions very well in the rocking style chopping of vegetables. The coated blade shows no sign of corrosion after a month of use.

    While it costs more than my other chef knives, I look at it like I do a good firearm--something to serve me now and my kids after I am gone. I am well pleased with the Bighorn Chef knife.

    Made in the USA

    It feels really good in the hand, but it feels butt heavy to me and the blade feels fat. I'm use to a Japanese knife and this doesn't seem to glide through vegetables like my Japanese knifes. It's a beautiful knife and it's sharp it just takes more effort to use vs some of my other knives.

    I believe it's a good knife and I'll definitely put it to use, every knife has its pros and cons, you just got to find what it cuts best for you.

    My husband lost his mind!

    I found these guys on instagram so I ordered the big horn for my husband, when I gave it to him he was so stoked. he walks around the kitchen with it tucked in his apron like he’s an operator … so funny but anyways the knife is amazing and balanced perfectly… thanks MKC your gear is solid.
