CERAOKTE MAGNACUT DROP POINT BLADE

The TF26 Paracord features the same 4 ¾″ drop point blade that made the TF24 a utility workhorse.

We left the TF24’s drop point alone. We kept the 0.156″ stock, the deep sharpening choil for choking up on finer work, the steel, and the finish.

As a cryogenically heat-treated stainless steel, MagnaCut provides the perfect blend of toughness, edge retention, and corrosion resistance, and it resharpens easily, even for novice knife owners. The Cerakote finish eliminates reflections that could catch light when you draw the blade.

SKELETONIZED WITHOUT SACRIFICE

The tang is skeletonized to cut weight, not strength.

We cut every part that wasn’t load-bearing, but we were conservative on purpose. Utility knives need to handle leverage tasks like prying open cases or twisting stuck parts. Hollow the tang out too aggressively and that heavy side loading can snap it.

We kept the TF26’s tang chunky where it needed to resist load and removed the rest.

A HANDLE REDESIGNED AROUND THE WRAP

This isn’t a simple rewrap of the TF24. Putting paracord on this knife meant redesigning the whole handle.

A curved handle won’t wrap cleanly without paracord bunching tightly on one side and leaving gaps on the other. So we straightened out the handle and made the slab fuller to fill your palm without scales.

Running it bare works, but it’s thin in the hand. The paracord wrap builds it back up to a full-hand feel from end to end, and it comes off as 8’ 5″ of cordage for when you need it.

A LOCKING OFFSET AND A TIGHTER-RADIUS FINGER GUARD

The TF26 handle shape keeps your grip locked in, with or without the paracord.

The offset we cut into the front of the handle locks the paracord in place and doubles as a defined step for your grip. Even with the cord stripped off, the handle isn’t a slick, featureless slab.

Without the bulk of G10, we made the finger guard narrower. And since paracord can’t wrap as far forward as G10, we moved the thumb ramp to where a saber grip already puts your hand for even more traction. Those two points lock your grip in place and hold it steady, even on a flat handle.

Excellent Knife, Outstanding craftsmanship
I’ve purchased several knives from MKC and have not been disappointed. The TF26 feels good in hand, balanced nicely, and isn’t too thin on the handle. I have very large hands and the fit is great. Not too small, and the paracord gives it a great grip. I have the Stoned Goat, Mule Deer, TF 26, and just ordered the Montana during its drop. I have a MKC for every need now.

Love the light weight. This actually is a relatively large knife that carries like a dream!! Tucked inside your belt with the Ulti-Clip it rides basically invisibly under a tshirt. It gives you full size knife capability in a easy to carry comfortable package. Thanx again MKC

I absolutely love this knife. Like all MKC products the quality is amazing but what I love most is it so capable and yet rides on my Mille webbing so that and indiscriminately. It’s the perfect balance of functionality and easy pack ability.
