The MKC X Fieldcraft Survival EDC Knife was designed by Master Bladesmith Josh Smith and the survival experts from Fieldcraft Survival. Over a year of research and development went into this blade. This knife was designed to be the ultimate EDC (Every Day Carry) blade. It can be easily concealed for self-defense or carried on your pack or waistband for bushcraft-style use.
As previously mentioned, this knife is designed to be an EDC blade. It can be carried inside the pocket of most pants with just the end of the handle exposed. This knife can be carried on either side of the body for utility or defense. It is small enough to be carried every day but also large enough to be a real tool that can be used harder than the folding knife in your pocket. The blade steel is Magnacut Stainless Steel and the design is heavily inspired by spearpoint blades used from various makers in the bushcraft realm.

We all know there isn’t a perfect single tool that does all the jobs the best, but if you’re like me and persistent on finding the jack of all trades masters of none, this is a great option. Just like the Magnacut steel it is made of, this knife can do everything well above average. I’m a project manager for a construction company and some days I’m on-site downtown and some days I’m surveying virgin woods. My drive from home to the office goes from woods/rural to downtown. I hunt, fish, hike, DIY around the house… This knife is damn good for anything I encounter. I carry it everyday no matter what I am doing. This is MY knife. I don’t have a this knife or that knife, just MY knife. Between Josh Smith’s knife making skills/outdoors experience, and Kevin Estella’s bushcraft/self defense expertise, they made one versatile masterpiece. The cherry on top is being able to support a great American startup producing jobs for Americans. I highly suggest getting one of these next drop.

Size is perfect for carrying concealed. The handle is comfortable in my hand doesn’t slip blade length is perfect for me. I’m N overlander, prior military, currently law enforcement, and use this knife for everything from opening ammo boxes to making kindling for fire. This is my first MKC knife. Couldn’t be more impressed with the design and holster. The clothing grabber clip works every time. I do carry it concealed occasionally.

Purchased the olive handle Fieldcraft Survival knife. As soon as I held it, I could tell it was a collaboration between a master knife maker and an experienced survivalist. Blade is light but very strong. Easily maneuverable. Out of the box razor sharp with with pointed tip that will make this knife excellent for field dressing game and/or self-defense. Handle is textured to assure no slipping even when hands are wet. Slight recesses for thumb are tactile and assure proper positioning. Absolutely no hot spots on handle or blade backbone. Sheath is flat on one side enabling an easy, no running, inside the waistband carry. Was lucky enough to get one as they sold out in under two minutes. Will be watching for future release to buy a couple as gifts for family.
