About the role:
As an Events Manager, you will be responsible for planning, executing, and managing various events and experiences that focus on enhancing our brand visibility and engaging with our community of outdoor and hunting enthusiasts. Events will include but are not limited to trade shows, expos and events throughout the hunting, tactical, and culinary communities. Additionally, this role will require the planning and execution of events at our new retail location in Missoula, MT. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Event Planning and Execution:- Develop comprehensive event plans, including logistics, timelines, budgets, and resources required.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure seamless execution of events.
- Oversee event setup, teardown, and onsite management, ensuring adherence to safety and brand standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during events to ensure a positive experience for attendees.
Strategic Development:
- Develop and implement strategic plans for events and experiences, aligning with overall brand objectives and company goals.
- Collaborate with marketing, sales, and product teams to ensure event strategies are integrated into broader brand initiatives.
- Anticipate future industry developments and proactively adjust event plans and strategies to stay ahead of the curve.
- Identify and pursue new opportunities for expanding brand presence and driving customer engagement through events and experiences.
Performance Evaluation:
- Continuously evaluate the effectiveness of event strategies and initiatives, leveraging data and feedback to refine approaches and improve outcomes.
- Foster a culture of innovation and creativity within the event team, encouraging new ideas and initiatives that enhance the overall event experience and drive business results.
- Track the success of every event and adjust future events to match customer expectations in the future; compiles and reports monthly on event attendance, success and cost to MKC Executive Team, Brand Relations Manager and Finance Department – this will help in planning for the following year and budgeting.
Relationship Management:
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, partners, and vendors to understand their needs and preferences.
- Act as the primary point of contact for partners and stakeholders, addressing their inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.
- Willingness to travel frequently to various event locations, including weekends and holidays as needed.
- Coordinate travel logistics for yourself and the event team, ensuring timely arrival and departure for each event.
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of experience in event planning and management, preferably within the outdoor or hunting industry.
- Strong organizational and planning skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Proven ability to develop and implement strategic event plans.
- Ability to anticipate and solve problems quickly and efficiently.
- Willingness to travel frequently, including weekends and holidays as needed. The hunting trade show schedule is heavy during the first 6 months of the year.
- Passion for the outdoors and hunting industry is highly desirable.
