Senior Machinist – Wire EDM & CNC Milling Specialist

ABOUT THE ROLE:
We are seeking a highly skilled machinist with expertise in Wire EDM operation and advanced CNC milling to join our elite manufacturing team. This role will be pivotal in helping us streamline and optimize production by designing and fabricating precision fixturing systems and components from the ground up.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Operate, program, and maintain Wire EDM machines to produce high-precision components.
- Set up and run advanced CNC milling machines with tight tolerances.
- Design and build custom fixturing and tooling to support knife production processes.
- Interpret complex technical drawings and CAD files to bring designs to life.
- Collaborate closely with engineers, designers, and production leads to refine part accuracy and efficiency.
- Troubleshoot machining issues and proactively propose improvements to processes and equipment.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-oriented shop environment.
REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:
- 5+ years of hands-on machining experience, with a strong emphasis on Wire EDM.
- Proven track record of building fixturing and tooling from scratch.
- Expert-level knowledge of CNC milling (3-axis minimum; 4/5-axis experience a plus).
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and CAD/CAM files (Fusion 360 preferred).
- Familiarity with various materials, especially tool steels and high-performance alloys.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a self-starter mentality.
- Excellent attention to detail and a craftsmanship mindset.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience in a production, high-precision manufacturing environment.
- Passion for knives, tools, or the outdoors is a plus.
- Swiss Lathe experience is a major plus
