FAQs
Our knives are made 100% in Frenchtown, Montana in the USA.
The knives we craft are made from a combination of 52100 Ball Bearing Steel and Magnacut Stainless Steel.
- Magnacut - tough, great edge retention, resistant to corrosion, and easy to resharpen.
- 52100 Ball Bearing - known for its unmatched toughness and sharpness, but is not as corrosion resistant as other steels. This is the reason all 52100 Ball Bearing steel in our knives is parkerized to protect it from corrosion and rust.
- Cerakote - A form of ceramic paint, meant for coating the blade, that’s baked onto the surface of the steel. Like any paint, Cerakote doesn’t adhere well to an extremely polished or slick surface. The surface of the steel has to be roughed up through bead blasting or sandblasting to give the Cerakote something to bite onto and hold.
- Parkerization - Parkerizing, or phosphate conversion coating, is a chemical treatment that protects a steel surface from corroding through oxidation. Parkerizing can only be performed on mild or carbon steel, so stainless, aluminum, and titanium blades are a no-go. Simply put, Parkerizing pre-rusts the blade before rust has a chance to take over. Rust happens, but with Parkerizing, we can beat it to the punch and guide the process on our terms.

Most are out of stock because most of our knives are released on a limited stock basis and drops occur most every Thursday night. We release one knife in a variety of different colors and when they sell out they are gone until the next drop a few weeks or months later.
We sell mainly from our website through live drops. Typically a drop is on a Thursday evening at 7pm MST, but not always. We communicate the date and time of our live drops through emails, texts, and our instagram page. When the knives go live on our website at 7pm MST, they are first come, first serve, and are available until sold out.
We currently are in stock on a select few models as well as our apparel and a number of accessories.
We currently do not have a storefront at our shop, but we do have limited quantities of our knives and apparel at the RMEF Visitor Center in Missoula, Montana and at the Sitka Depot in Bozeman, Montana.
We only offer shipping. We provide free shipping labels on returns and Generations® requests.
At this time, we do not offer shop tours.
Unfortunately, we do not offer pre-orders. You can sign up for our email list to receive updates on upcoming knife drops.
